First and foremost we trust that everyone visiting this site is keeping well both physically and mentally at such a difficult time. We are missing our Volunteers, Members and Carers very much and hope to introduce some remote ways of keeping in touch soon. Unfortunately, we are unable to give any indication as to when we will be in a position to resume our meetings. The welfare and safety of all of our attendees is our overriding priority.
We are a group run by a diverse team of volunteers who are dedicated to providing an informal and friendly environment to help those of all ages and backgrounds recovering from a stroke. We do this through varied programmes designed to share information and encourage participation.
The programmes include a range of activities designed for the interest and enjoyment of our members. In addition to quizzes, activities and topical discussions, we also enjoy visits from speakers on subjects of general interest and stroke-related topics. We also have regular chair exercise sessions run by a qualified Physiotherapist.
We we also arrange entertainment and parties. Each meeting’s programme is preceded by a soup and sandwich lunch with afternoon refreshments served later.
